It's hard for web comics like that to get anywhere in anime cuz the pacing is relatively steady so that's why most anime usually skip so much stuff to try to make the story interesting

No, I felt the pacing and character development was great. It hit on a lot good fresh points even though it was a little too Korea-centric (just as most anime is Japan-centric) but it's what the authors know.
